I Wish I had Another Lifetime

(© 2002 Walter Farmer)

It seems unfair I've met you
In the latter part of my life
I've seen some beautiful places
Before your were my wife
With you they'd all been better oh the things I'd like to re-do
I Wish I had another lifetime
To spend with you

I wish I had another lifetime to spend with you
So many things we haven't done
So many things I hope to do
Shouldn't waste my time wishin' for things that wont come true
But I wish I had another lifetime
To spend with you

Walking along Astoria Bay
As the sun set on the waves
Thought I'd found heaven on Earth
As I walked along that day
The scene would'a been better if you were in the view
I wish I had another lifetime
To spend with you

I wish I had another lifetime to spend with you
So many things we haven't done
So many things I hope to do
Shouldn't waste my time wishin' for things that wont come true
But I wish I had another lifetime
To spend with you

That night up on the Mogollon
As I slept beneath the pines
Thought I'd found a sacred place
Created by heaven divine
But the splendor would have been better if you were lyin' with me too
I wish I had another lifetime to spend with you

I wish I had another lifetime to spend with you
So many things we haven't done
So many things I hope to do
Shouldn't waste my time wishin' for things that wont come true
But I wish I had another lifetime
To spend with you

I wish I had another lifetime to spend with you
So many things we haven't done
So many things I hope to do
Shouldn't waste my time wishin' for things that wont come true
But I wish I had another lifetime
To spend with you
